Infrared is used for communication in various devices such as remote controls. For example TV remote control sends the signal to TV whenever a button is pressed. We have made a circuit which blocks the communication between TV and remote control.
This circuit uses a 555 timer IC, 2 IR LEDs and few other commonly available electronic components. This IR Jammer circuit sends the infrared pulses continuously. And because of these continuous pulses transmitted by this IR jammer circuit, receiver at the TV end, cannot pick up the intervals sent by the TV remote control and so receiver reads ONE always. Simply speaking we are going to induce a lot of noise into the IR signal, for the receiver to completely read error all the time.
